Dzunuk’wa is a giant female ogress who is extremely strong, has supernatural powers and possesses great wealth. She stalks her favorite food, human children, in the forests, capturing and consuming those that have foolishly wondered off. Fortunately Dzunuk’wa is not very bright and can be easily tricked by a clever person.

Dzunuk’wa is easily identifiable by large, round eyes, thick red lips, an open mouth puckered as if she were making he “huuuuuuuuu” call, out-stretched arms, and black coloring.
